Two files ending in .mp4 can contain different video and audio codecs. Satura accepts MP4 input and defaults to H.264 video for MP4 export because it is a practical compatibility choice for browsers, social platforms, and common playback devices.
If a particular MP4 will not preview, the codec inside the file may not be supported by the current browser or device. Re-encode the source to H.264/AAC or try a browser with the required media support before editing.
